Feature request: Disable desktop closing gesture without disabling charms bar

It would be nice if it where possible to disable the gesture for closing the desktop, by dragging down at the desktop, without having to disable the charms bar. The charms bar is a convenient way to access the modern UI without the start hot corner, but the desktop closing 'feature' is irritating as it prevents drag selecting items easily. Maybe this is logistically impossible due to the coding of the bar but none the less I though I ought to ask about it anyway.

Use Skip Metro Suite by Winaero. It allows selectively disabling hot corners.

Thanks for pointing to skip metro suite that's working good for the time being. However it would be good to see start 8 updated with the capacity to disable it separate from the charms bar in start 8 as I'd prefer only having to have it installed.
