Problem report GXG-783-93179 for Multiplicity 2 Copy and Past

I keep getting notifications:

"This message concerns your ticket #GXG-783-93179. We have not received any response back from you in 72 hours, and would like to know if you consider this issue to be resolved. If you have any further questions, simply respond to this e-mail."

I have replied that the problem is still a problem.  I have not gotten any other emails regarding this issue.  It is still a failure of copy and paste on 64 bit Windows 7 systems but not on 32 bit systems, Multiplicity 2.0.1.

I have tried logging into the problem resolution system, but it will not accept my login or password.  I have tried to do a password reset, and it said it was sending me an email, but it was never received (problem is the software?).

Please advise.

Thank you.

We've responded three times but it does not appear you are seeing our responses.  Please check you spam filters.

The body of our last few responses follows:

Try running this command from a command prompt on your primary:

telnet ip_of_secondary 30565

where ip_of_secondary is replaced with the secondary machine's IP address (local). You'll need to install the telnet client on Windows Vista/7 to run this test (or use your telnet client of choice). The telnet client is installed by default on XP. To enable telnet for Windows Vista/7:

1. From the Start menu, click Control Panel.
2. Select Programs.
3. From the menu of the left, select Turn Windows Features On or Off.
4. Scroll down, and then check the "Telnet client" box.
5. Click OK.

Once the command is run, what happens? Does it give you any kind of a response, or does it fail to connect?

Thanks for your help!  Upon checking the Windows 7 firewall rules on the 64 bit systems, I found that there were entries in the Inbound section for Multiplicity (see attached file of snips from the windows 7 firewall inbound rules).

The two entries towards the bottom  for "Stardock Multiplicity 2 ---- Private" were blocked.  Unblocking them on the appropriate systems fixed the problem of cut and paste.

Further, upon upgrading from version 2.00.29 to version 2.01, I found that version 2.00.29 was not deleted before the upgrade proceeded   I then uninstalled both versions and found that the Multiplicity FW rules are not being deleted.

Thanks again.
