License Question

Hi there,

First off, thanks for a great utility - have been using it since beta and it has been working flawlessly.

 

I purchased a single license of Start8 for my laptop, but like many other people these days, I also have a desktop and a Windows tablet 

that I'm thinking about upgrading to Win 8 as well seeing as it becomes useable when you install this great app.

 

I also have a home Domain that I'm running Server 2012 on (ah the joy of a technet subscription :)). My question is then, if each license you buy entitles you to install it on a single machine only, or are there multiple PC rights for family PCs, home network etc?

I don't mind buying the additional licenses, especially as they're so cheap and to support further development, but just thought I'd ask the question first - all in all it's 7 installs (3 clients and 4 servers - 3 of which are HyperV based virtual machines)

I'm still not even sure myself, mate.

So, good question.

I have bought a license for 2 computers, so far.

Is it 1 license per computer?

And I hope they have fixed the licensing debacle up where you couldn't buy more than 1 license per account unless you sent it to another account as a gift.

Well the license terms suggest 1 per machine, but I'd happily pay for a multi-license pack, or a "home license" that would cover every machine in the house etc (including the server and Hyper-V installations on it) but having to keep track of individual keys would be a pain

 

The fact that Server 2012 is mentioned on the Requirements on the homepage suggests the license does cover that use as well, but I'd rather be fair and legit about it as this app has made life so much easier under Win 8 for me.

Any more thoughts on this?  Looking for 7 additional licenses for a mixture of Win 8 / Server 2012 (virtual) machines,
