Fences Error installation / crash all !

Fences Error on installation / crash explorer, fences does not work at all

Hello.

 

i'd just trying to install new Fences v2.01.484 :\
but after installing it, before Finish windows box, it give me an error  XO

the error is :

 

Custom > On Preload, Line 133: Argument 2 must be of type string.

Stack Traceback:

1.[Custom > On Preload] Line: 133 in main chunk

 

 after this box ( with Ok Button that i click it ) the finish windows box come up and ... BooM! crash crash crash crash after crash x_x

i searched google about this error, but nothing found.
i did not see this error at all in fences 2.01.
about 2 thousand times i uninstall and re-install fences but nothing happened.
fences gave me error / make crash / everytime i wanna click on my desktop explorer.exe give crash and reset triple times. 

and my fences 2.01 is trial ( Just for test ) >_>  

i have this error both on my laptop and my PC.

PC info : Win 7 x64 | 2 GB Ram | Geforce 210

Laptop info : win 7 x32 | 1 GB Ram | Standard Intel VGA

 

Please help me to fix this error, i don't know what is this error or how is coming up !

That would be bad in itself. After two thousand reinstalls, you'll need to reinstall Windows. Your registry won't take that many installs/reinstalls without getting all gummed up.

Try turning OFF any AntiVirus/security app when you download and install Fences, but if this is true:"about 2 thousand times i uninstall and re-install fences but nothing happened." you'll be lucky if you don't have to re-install Windows ;P

Using nod32 anti virus.
downloaded Zip file / standard exe, both not work and the error comes up again.

about this:
i have registry cleaner and i using CCleaner after every uninstall / reinstall. so i'm sure it's not just about my windows, because after that i test it on my laptop ( has completely fresh windows  :D  ), but same error  X(

 

guys, you think it's from fences or something is wrong with me ? so what is wrong with me ?  >_>

I guess it was from 4Shared Servers that i search it on google engine. i deleted it from my hard disk after getting error again.

i did not use any cracked version ! all fences i tried to install was trial !

as i said before in my post, i tried to download fences standard exe from original site ( Stardock.Com ! ) but after install, i seeing same error, after that i tried to search google for resolve my issue, but nothing found ...

my fences is not cracked from any website or blog and i downloaded it from Cnet site that you linked.

Please note that the trial is for 30 days. Un-installing and re-installing it will not reset the trial. How long did you use 2.01?

my problem is not about reset the trial !!! fences 2.01 HAS NOT a complete installation on my computer at all and installation is with error that i wrote the error before.

i told you both, zip and standard exe ( from Cnet ) giving same error on my laptop and pc ( means it's not from my nod32 too ).

" Not enough storage is available to process this command "

4 GB is available on my C Drive

 

using Windows 7 x64

If windows is to be updated - the temp file extraction and restore points, etc means 4 gig isn't enough 'headroom' to complete the process.

but there is a question:

why the windows installer 4.5 , windows6 ( vista - 7 ) that is the right package for my windows does not work ? and the windows installer for windows 2003 does.

 

And do you think installing windows installer 4.5 solve my issue ?

Sometimes when i start windows, fences crash windows explorer ( sometimes a couple times )

and still can't do anything to solve this problem!!! Cry  XO

Hello astrixoblix,

I understand your plight but I do not have a real answer about the crashes for you. I too am waiting for a solution from the support service. Sometimes I have a long pause till the crashes resume. And for the time being, I am relaxing for Fences is behaving so well. According to me it is because I keep Aero theme on. I used to disable it while on battery power.

Keep on hoping... I visit the forums really often to find any new suggestions.

I believe that it's an incomplete version for windows 7 or maybe fences need another program to solve our problems. 

anyway i have no idea for crashes. but in fences version 1, i haven't any problem and i love what fences do  <3  by the way, i love fences 2 features so much :smitten: .
