not sure if it is my windows 8 or not but it seems that i have to keep re installing start8 as the text get messed up looking
and it only happens with start8 . hope this gets fixed .
also it would be nice to have start8 make it easy for you to make your own custom start button

I have the same problem, Start8-menutext gets weird after some time.
When I maximize an application with a large black background, the problem in start8 is gone, and after i minimize the application the problem comes back.

If you are having a text issue then we updated the build on tuesday to make a change which should resolve this. Just redownload from the store, or if using the trial just enter your e-mail address again and you will get a new file.
Install it and it shouldn't be a problem anymore.
The problem should only happen if the DWM gets disabled and in Windows 8 thats exceptionally rare, so I am curious to know what you were doing just before it happened. Did you upgrade video drivers?
