[1.02][Bug] AI and spell mechanic bugs in AutoResolve

I played this battle 5 times manually and 5 times automatically.

Every time I played manually I lost to the dark wizard, as all my DD spells (fire dart and shadowbolt) were resisted by him.

Every time I let AR calculate the results I won in 2 turns (screenshot below).

Also for some reason in AR the wizard moves instead of casting spells.

I wrote about the different results between manual and auto combat several weeks ago, but it looks like it's still not fixed. I avoid autocombat completely as you cheat on yourself when using it. You were able to win otherwise unwinable battles with magic users or monsters with special abilities.

Still, the only option the AI players have is to use AutoResolve, I guess...

I also was quite certain, based on the changelogs, that this was fixed...

Makes my suspicious side wonder how many other, harder to check issues, were declared as fixed without actually being so...

If we cannot trust the change logs and have to double-check every fix reported, then this board - and our enjoyment of the game - will go south pretty damn fast!

End of ins2's quote

Please don't be so rush. I said " it looks like it's still not fixed", but that's not proven.

The developers never intentionally declare something as fixed if they haven't worked on it and believe it fixed. But sometimes other changes bring up older issues again.

Perhaps the change of placing archers in the back and meele fighters in front in manual combat could have had a negative effect on autocombat. Or more specifically cause a dark wizard to move in autocombat instead of casting spells.
