All icons but one disappear from the desktop - confirmed

Fences 2, Win 7x64.  As so often happens with Fences, a Fenced icon on the far left of the destop got slightly out of place and so the one to its right (lower row) moved over (Stardock, why can't you give us snap into place?).  As usual, it was hard to tell them apart, but I saw enough to be drag the out of place one to the middle of the desktop.  Then I dragged it back to the far left to drop back into place.  As soon as it hit the left edge of the screen, all the rest of the icons on the desktop disappeared.  Whoa!  So I rebooted and everything came back except for that icon.  At least I couldn't find it anywhere, although its link still showed in the desktop folder.

Then I dragged the one that had replaced the missing icon to the center of the desktop, just to see if the original was hidden underneath.  It wasn't, so I dragged it back.  Once again, as soon as it got to the edge of the screen all the other icons on the desktop disappeared again!  This time I tried System Restore, but it had become corrupted (Fences?).  So I recreated the two missing icons and dropped them into the row away from the screen edge, and then worked them over to their usual place.  But that wasn't all... One of those icons, a Windows Explorer shortcut for My Computer, actually has an "Exclude this icon from Fences" choice - but it doesn't work, even though it's now checked!

Think it's time to go back to Fences 1 Pro.

Is the Pages feature enabled? Were the "lost" icons on a different page?
Is the excluded icon in or outside a fence?

I never heard of - at least or paid attention - to the Pages (and other new) features, so I didn't knowingly set it, and made no adjustments of that kind after installing 2.  If Fences did it by default, well, that's a different story.

The excluded icon started inside a Fence, but upon discovering the two in that Fence were overlaying (the lack of snap-to), I dragged it out into the open. Same thing the second time.  There are also several other icons on my desktop not in a Fence and those had disappeared too.

This morning I decided to file this as a support ticket with screenshots - #FXJ-112-20092 - and then went back to Fences Pro.  In setting up its "Exclude from quick-hide" there was some odd behavior with unexcluded icons jumping around, but at least it has that feature and everything has settled down for now.

Fences needs a snap-back (or snap-to) feature desperately.  It would solve a lot of problems.

P.S. In these message/replay boxes, at least with Opera, when I press Enter for a new paragraph, the spacing registers below but the cursor instead jumps to the top of the box and forces the first line to the right a couple of spaces.  I've noticed it every time I've posted here.
