I QUIT !!!!!

I QUIT !!!!!

Smoking

Well today is the day I have made my decision to quit smoking after being told I am less than 15% away from having emphysema and I am only 45 I have way too much too live for  I want to see all my grandchildren grow up to be adults get married and have their family's I have the gum and lozenges and I am off to the Doctor's  on Thursday to get a script for chanpix as well .  I am going in with all guns blazing so to speak no pun intended I hope I can do it I know I have talked myself into it that much that I feel I can do it  in my mind I don't want to smoke anymore that is how much I have talked myself in to it  I am ready to do this . and being how Mark hasn't smoked for 3 years its more support for me as well as going to Kambu medical centre and using their program kicking butts . I look at it this way if Mark can do it I can too  .....

did you get Chantix? I've been wondering how that works for folks, as I've tried everything except acupuncture with not much success.

champix I am using it may be one of the same thing and its working fine for me, its been 2 weeks today since my last smoke and I feel great  I have had a few times where I thought a smoke would go down nice, then I  have the nicorette gum and while I am having that I look at a Quitline card that I have on my table/ desk  and the craving goes away. all I can say it's working for me but you need the will power to do it

I quit smoking Feb. 23rd, 1984, after smoking 2-3 packs/day for 25 years.  I went through hypnosis and had my last cigarette that day.  After almost 30 years, my mouth still produces excess saliva when I think about smoking.

Quitting smoking has been one of my proudest accomplishments in life.
