How to disable Quicklaunch dock

Is there any way of completely disabling the Quicklaunch dock? I only plan on using the tabbed docks as the Quicklaunch dock is too intrusive.

I've configured it so that it only shows when the mouse is at the bottom centre of the screen, but want to totally get rid of it.

Right click on the dock you want to remove...click settings.

Click the 'X' to the right of "Accessibility"...;)
