[1.01 Bug] Is Light Plate and Masterwork Chainmail supposed to cost 0 points at faction creation?

Yes they are.  They are not really any better than the item they replace.

I beg to differ, of course. Light plate + Armorer sovereign = you'll DEVASTATE in the mid-game.

Light plate is also heavier that chain and uses more resources.  Now, if you are Gilden, you have Master Smiths and Armorer, so yea, it's nice.

I have been wondering the balance here, but I hope someone took they're time to look into it ^_^.
I still hope for a content upgrade that adds more armour types and weapons in the tech tree, so mid-game would be more for tactics and less for massing out the best units :P
