Uninstall Problem

Upgrading to V2

I paid for the V2 upgrade from PRO and ran the V2 .EXE as admin. Said uninstall the previous ver, reboot and run again. I did this and all went well on the Primary. Did the same on the Secondary and when I ran the V2 .EXE it said again... uninstall the previous ver, reboot and run again. Looked and the program is gone by uninstall but something is still left somewhere. Is there a fixit or cleanup program to run to get the new V2 to load on the Secondary???? Even tried ERROR CHK to no avail. Please let me know. Thanks!

Look for the Multiplicity directory (in \program files\stardock\Multiplicity or \program files (x86)\stardock\Multiplicity probably).

From the start menu, type in "command prompt" and then right click on it to launch as administrator. From the command line, change to the directory with the old version of Multiplicity and install its service.

cd "\program files\stardock\multiplicity"

multisrv32.exe -uninstall

multipl.exe unload

erase multi*

Reboot and then you should be able to install 2.0 happily.

Got it. Even though it was gone out of CONTROL PANEL PROGRAMS all the files were still in the Program Files x86\Stardock\Multiplicity directory and it was also still in the taskbar tray but hidden. Unloaded it, renamed the directory and reboot. BINGO! V2 loaded and is working like a charm. Hope it does when I goto Win 8.

Thanks Kris.
