Multiplicity V2 Copy and Paste Clipboard quit working

Last week, the copy and paste clipboard functionality of v2 quit working.  Have uninstalled/reinstalled v2 on all machines, double checked settings, etc., to no avail!  Sent a message to support about this problem, but have not heard back from them yet,

Running Windows 7/SP1 with latest updates, no firewall on, local network.

Systems "look like" their are trying to past but nothing shows up.  The drop down box on the target system shows "Paste" available (not grayed out) but clicking it or Ctrl P do not paste.  The clipboard info can be pasted into another application on the same machine.

Something has changed, but.......what?

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you 100% sure there is no firewall enabled somewhere on either machine?

Port 30565 is used for clipboard transfers.

Can you telnet to that port from one machine to another?

It is a network of 3 machines, primary and 2 secondaries.  Windows Defender is turned off on all 3 machines.  Ports 30564 and 30567 show activity on each machine using Win7 Resource Monitor and connections to MP2Control(30567),  MultiSrv (30567) and Multipl2(30564).

I have not seen any activity on port 30565.

The behavior appears that the connection is working, but the actual information doesn't make it.  The "Paste" option on the target machine become available, but no actual data is pasted.

Update!!!!

Machines 1 and 2 are running Win7 64 Bit, machine 3 is running Win7 32 bit.  Clipboard functionality works going FROM 32 bit to 64 bit, but NOT from 64 bit to 64 bit or 32 bit!

This appears to be a problem related to 64 bit support!

I am having this same problem. Copy was the entire reason I upgraded and it does not work. If I reboot my machines it works for 10-15 minutes then stops. I am running windows 7 64-bit on both machines.

I came here looking for an answer to this very problem.  Except that a window pops up on the "paste" system stating "Transfering files" but nothing happens - it gets locked into a loop of that window popping up but no file being transferred.  Not sure what changed.  Nothing that I recall doing to either system.

Do you have lots of HD space on drive c?

Have you installed any new firewalls?

Try adding an exception for Multipl2.exe on the primary and secondary computers.

Problem corrected!  Here's what I found:

I had upgraded from the old version of 1.26 to 2.0, THEN to 2.00.29, THEN to 2.01.00. I had also done remove/re-installs several times to attempt to fix the problem. Somewhere in the process, the old WINDOWS FIREWALL Inbound Rules for Multiplicity were not deleted and at one point, Multiplicity access was blocked.

Go to Control Panel ---> Windows Firewall ---> Advanced Settings ---> Inbound Rule.  Look for any Stardock or Multiplicity (V1.xx) rules.

These are the VALID firewall rules.  I deleted all the others and cut and paste works correctly.  (Drag and drop don't seem to be working yet.)

Hope this helps
