Very Disappointed at...

from Stardock Forums

the lack of a "donate" button on stardock page.

I did buy back then elemental, war of magic. The collector edition, I had high hopes on the game, I seen it as the new master of magic and.. oh well it was a flop. you tried guys these days fallen enchantress came out.. and I recive a mail from a CEO saying that I will recive fallen enchantress for free since the first game was disappointing.. the what?!?

nope all my friends bought the original connection edition war of magic too so they will have fallen enchantress too :) but yeah ok! I'll buy rebellion on steam (even if real time strategy games aren't my thing!) :D

and seriously.. can I get a donation button please? XD or a kickstarter for one of your projects I can donate to!

I would like to point out that you should buy from stardock directly if possible. That way steam doesn't take 30%.

This is correct.  In general, it's a good idea to buy from the source (or donate to a source), rather than through a distributor, since in the latter case you're paying for the pipeline.

i also got that email and was suprised in a good way, so i decided to buy rebellion from stardocks homepage not cus i enjoy that sort of games, but for the reason to sponsor the company. i think company's that has such a goodwill and really stands behind their software are rare, another company would just say "oh crap this game sucked, well who cares as long as we can milk money out of people" while stardocks actually gave us another game only cus the first one was a fail.

 

i do salute you (stardocks) and i will remain a paying customer to your company.
