Hello guys,
Ive just bought 5 copies of Win8 for my home, and am trying out Start8 as I love the windows button to toggle Desktop/Start.
What is irksome is this... If you are in the Start screen and press the Windows key, I want to go to desktop mode. and be able to toggle these two modes... I do NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT ever want to have the Win8 menu pop up when I have just toggled from the start page. I NEVER want that to happen... it drives me nuts and I am forever closing the Start8 menu... way way more than I ever use it.
When I toggle from Start > Desktop using the windows key, I want it to be a simple toggle. Nothing more. Strangely, there is an additional option to show the Start8 menu, rather than an option to show the desktop when using the right windows key.
Other than that, I am liking it, though have not spent much time with it... just this weird workflow choice is a dealbreaker for me... so am going to try out the other start button alternatives.
