You've got some problems wiht Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 NOT Enchantress. Probably need to run an update on Visual Studio 2008

Try updating/repairing the 2008 version of .NET. Just a hunch though.

I don't even have a "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008" ... I have several Programs And Features listings for "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2008" and two "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010" (one 'ADO .NET Entity Framework Tools' and one 'Express Prerequisites x64 - ENU'). :/

I had the same problem, but fortunately installer continue after this "crash" and FE is working ok.

I had the same error, and as with the previous poster the installation appeared to continue and work.  The installation continued even though I selected the "close program" option.  While downloading I did uninstall FE and deleted every directory I could find called "FallenEnchantress".

Just had exactly the same issue and the Elemental Enchantress installer continued after the Visual Studio 2008 installer crashed, thankfully. I was also in the beta and did a full uninstall and deletion of the User documents data before downloading the install using Stardock Central.

If anyone at Stardock needs any more details, I'll do my best to help.

, I hope you have managed to resolve the issue, my heart goes out to you.

I used SDC to install on 2 laptops, one Vista, one Win7.  I uninstalled the beta on both before installing.  The Vista install ran into the External Installer crash, but (as for most of you) the installation eventually continued and installed ok.  The Win7 install went cleanly.  I have no idea what the difference could be, I have a lot more stuff installed on my Win7 machine than I do on the Vista one.

I'm running on Windows 7 64-bit so it doesn't sound like it's a particular O/S, it may be down to the versions of Visual Studio already installed on the system.

Below are the plethora of Visual Studios, etc I have installed mainly thanks to all the Steam stuff I have:

Visual Studio etc versions
