Way to go!

Start8 is just what Windows 8 is missing for the desktop UX. Kudos to you guys! I love Windows 8 because of all of its improvements, but I hated having to memorize a bunch of WindowsKey+SomeOtherKey in order to remain as productive as I was with previous versions of Windows.

This is a game changer for me. Perfect. The way Microsoft should have done it for the desktop user.

If you can afford it, you should spend some money marketing this to the masses of people who will soon receive new PCs with Windows 8.

Regards!

I dumped Windows 8 and went back to 7.    Loosing the Aero effects was the last straw in my book.  I hope there is a Windows 8 version of Window Blinds and it can add back the Aero effects to the themes.  Windows 8 is stable but so is Windows 7 and while it may boot faster and the UI might be a little faster, I don't see any must have apps and it does not run any of my software faster.  I might add it back in dual boot mode later but for now it's done.

This this and more this!

I was worried this would be a bit "hacky" and not seamlessly integrated with Windows, but it's like I'm using Windows 7 still, just with the better multimonitor support, the quicker boot times, etc. I love you guys for this!

If you managed to bring back window transparency, I'd love you even more ;)

Start8 may well be the thing that saves Windows 8, especially if one of the big OEMs like HP/Dell/Acer etc decide to ship it, which I'm sure is possible (I remember windowblinds coming preinstalled on some PCs...) Would be a good way for someone like HP to take a massive windows 8 advantage over the others, people would buy their machines just because they still had a start menu....
