If I'm in an app and want to get back to the Modern UI I click the Modern UI graphic (lower left corner) or hit the Windows button on the keyboard. Instead I'm taken to the Desktop. Shouldn't doing one of these take me back to the Modern UI? If not I think it should.
Have you set what Start8 should do from the Start8 config window?
It is on the control page. You can specify the actions to take in those two scenarios.
It's set to "Start button shows Start8 menu" and "Windows key shows Windows 8 menu". Is that not correct?
Those sound like the settings for when you are on the desktop.
The settings below relate to when you are in a modern UI application and cover what should happen when you press the windows key and the Start menu hot corner.
In your case it sounds like you want it to go to the Windows 8 start menu when you are in a modern UI application. If so you need to set the "What should happen when you are in a Modern UI app" settings to make it do that.
