The search feature is very quick to return results in Programs; just like the Windows 7 start menu. However, entries from the Control Panel and Documents only appear about 6 seconds after typing stops.
Why are program results so quick whereas settings and documents take so long?
Control panel settings are not indexed by the OS well and so can cause a slight delay.
6 seconds is way more than I would have expected though. Typically you should be getting your results within a second.

These results took the same for programs in Windows 7. What did they change for 8?
We have made some changes for an upcoming build which should address this.
I have seen the exact same problem as fishfaze and it's my only complaint so far. I'm thrilled that you're addressing it....

Just updated and I've noticed significant improvements in speed and prioritization; It's almost identical to W7 behavior now. Bravo!
I can't confirm this. I'm also using 1.0 trial and searching for documents still takes more than 5 seconds...
