Before I buy Fences 2...

Hi,

Having lots of icons on my desktop this looks like a potentially useful program. Before I part with my money....

is Fences2..

1) Easy to uninstall without leaving bits of shrapnel everywhere in the registry etc., ?

2) What system resources does it use when running?

3) Is it stable and reliable? Transparent to the user?

4) Are there any known incompatibilities?

The system I'm considering trialing this on first, is running WINXP PRO SP3, 2Gb Ram with an ancient Radeon X850 (256Mb ram)

Cheers,

Chris

Can you elaborate on item #4?  Do you know of specific VDPs it has compatibility issues with?  I use Actual Windows Manager for VDP and a few other features so that is the one I would be most interested in hearing about any incompatibilities with.

Thanks! - KEM

kem2, best if you email support@stardock.com with a specific like that.

Don't answer the auto-reply (but keep it as it has your ticket number). Wait for a reply from a person, Support works 9-5, M-F. Mondays are usually quite busy, so give them a few days.

I am also interested in buying Start8 and Fences, but I am going to wait until a while after Windows 8 has been publicly available, as I have heard Fences is not yet 'officially' compatible with Windows 8 (there might be a new version or something).
