Litestep Themes

I realy like the fact that there are LS themes at WinCustomize. But it seems to me that it would be logical to have some catagorising implemented. There
are several different builds, file structures not mention themes that are complete with Litestep exe
uploaded with them. not to sound critical but you have to have a lot energy to sort through the cofusion

Yes...I think it would be handy to differentiate between 'OTS'-specific themes, and others which are not...

There is catagorizing at WC. A,B,C, etc.

Jafo intelegent comments are always in vouge, oh yea like your themes it only took five years to get any kind of results ot of Litestep (slow and staburn)with your themes (OTS with LS exec. included)whats the best attack for setting up paths to apps I am only using LS on my ME partion cant get shell changers to function on 2000 PRO any tips shure would help another thing I was tossing around is there a processes that would alow one to put these to gether like other LS themes without LS exec.Packages ?

Stephen...on your keyboard, just to the right of the 'm'.....bottom row, there are punctuation marks.....helps to use them...

ShellON.exe is the best shell loader/handler around, particularly for NT-based Windows....NT, 2000, XP....as their shells are initiated via registry settings.
ShellON does all that for you....painlessly.

As for distributing/setting up themes without including Litestep.exe.....yes you can, most are done that way....but often you will strike compatability issues with older/newer versions and 3rd-party modules, so I always distribute a full, genuine, self-contained shell, not a 'theme' at all.
OTS is a standard by which you 'should' be able to painlessly add new themes without fear of dramas, and is aimed specifically for those 'new' to LiteSTEP.
I'm in the process at the moment of converting all of mine to OTS, as individual themes, without the exe's, etc, they will be a fair bit smaller...and with the newer Litestep releases handling Png's as well as Bmp's, converting the graphics will shrink things more....

So....your main need is to get ShellON....

Oky doky,,,...''' is them the littlel buggers you was talking about ? I may not use punctuation marks as much as I should but we all have squirty little Quirks. Any way I use shellon on my ME system have tried it on win 2K always wind up having to hack the regestry. Glad to here you are going to make it OTS heaven for all the LS virgins and the slightly broke in folk. Realy though glad to see that you take time to relay information.!!!
