I find this software to work as stated. Very easy setup and so far, works like a charm.

I am using the free version.

I can't get it to work.  I have two monitors.  Is that the problem?

what would I do, turn one off?  I like having both.

Thanks

I also cannot get it to work - or maybe its because there is no manual so cant see how to make it work. I added all my computers in the configuration panel - so they are all "linked" and set up, but what comes after that ?  How are you meant to get each computer window up like in the video ? I also have dual monitor, but i cannot see how that should pose a problem or incompatibility.

I would like to make sure you understand what Multiplicity 2 (MP2) is and is not.

MP2 is not a remote desktop application (Windows Remote Desktop for example). It was not designed to manage computers in other rooms or any other location other than in the same local space.

MP2 works much the same way as when you have two (or more) monitors connected to a single computer. In this example, you can move your mouse from one monitor to another, copy and paste and type on these extra monitor's desktops. MP2 is an application that extends these same options to other MP2 connected computers in the same local space. When connected, one can move the mouse pointer (type \ cut and paste \ drag and drop files) from monitor 1 (for example) on the MP2 'Primary' computer to the monitors on any MP2 'Secondary' computer seamlessly and as naturally were all monitors connected to one computer.

Slightly clearer, but still do not see how it is meant to work since when i run it, nothing happens. I have one central computer with mouse/keyboard & 2 monitors. In the same room i have 6 other computers all networked. Usually i use windows RDP as well as a file synchronisation app called goodsync.  I thought i would also try multiplicity. However, i have configured and connected all the machines, but how do i bring up their windows ?  How do i use this software ??  When i triple click CTRL or a hotkey i have assigned, nothing happens. I can see a window at the top of the monitor popping up for half a second telling me i have control of the other computer - but what next ??? I cannot see the other computer - no window, no nothing. How can i drag & drop  if there is no window ?  How do i pull up a window that = a secondary machine ?  I need to be able to have 6 such windows simultaneously open. However, it would be nice just to see one window for starters ! thx

You do not.  You move your mouse to the edge of the primary monitor  . . and keep going!  Your mouse cursor will appear on the next computer over.  When you type . . it will be on that PC.  Keep moving your mouse . . and it will appear on the next PC.

When you say "appear on the next computer" - are you actually saying that all of those 6 computers require their own monitor ?  Thats not what i understood from the video. It shows a screen with two windows which i assumed were on the same desktop. It seems i totally misunderstood what this program does !

Please excuse my bad english. It seems I have the same problem. As far as I understood the monitor of the primary Multipicity Computer should switch to the "picture" of the secondary one that is controlled, when I move the mouse e.g. to the left edge.  So I should be able to work on the secondary computer although I am sitting on the primary one. Right? When I move the mouse to the left edge, the picture on my monitor gets grey and an insert tells me "Now controlling XYZPC 192.xxx.xxx.xx". Nothing else happens.  The screen content of the secondary Computer that is controlled does not appear on my monitor. What is wrong? How can I keep it going?  Thank you.

Yes.

It does not show two windows.  Windows have titlebars and frames, etc. The video is supposed to represent two desktops on different PCs.

I guess this shows that sometime in advertising we "see" what we are hoping for and miss what is actually being represented. If you can produce a product that actually can do the work of a KVM (& offer benefits as compared to windows remote desktop) that would be great !  thx for your help here in this forum !  I got a refund, but continue to be a fan of stardock apps, of which i use several.
