Do I have to be On-line to play?

Just that question. I do not have internet at home (my local carrier, well lets just say we don't get along and leave it at that, shall we) and I cannot only pllay when I am out at resturants and stuff. So, I would like to be able to play off line. Can I?

If you set Steam to offline mode while you have Internet, you should be able to launch the game when you don't.

While in Steam click on "Steam" in the top left corner and select "go offline".

If you start steam, while you are without internet, it suggests to start in offline mode.

Thank you very much. I will try that when I am not at work, apparently the security software inhibits Steam from connecting to the internet. Thanks again.
