Disable snap-to in fences?

Anyone know how to disable snap-to inside a fence, so that icons can be easily rerranged and placed where the user desires?

The answer is: can't be done.

For the time being, I'm going with CoolTabs. Not nearly as elegant as Fences, but hey, you can put your icons where you want them. Function trumps form.

I know in Fences 2 beta, the icons are not locked. They are snapped to a grid, but I can easily put them in whatever order I please. Not sure if that is what you are looking for.
