Hotspots not staying disabled

When Start8 is first installed and "Disable Windows 8 desktop hotspots" is checked, everything works as its supposed to.

However after the computer is restarted, all hotspots including the Start Screen hotspot are still active even though "Disable Windows 8 desktop hotspots" is still checked. Re-toggling the option still does not disable them.

This is very annoying as the Start Screen hotspot interferres with the Start8 start button.

Is this a bug or?

I'm seeing the same issue myself.  If it helps, I'm on Windows 8 RTM, 64-bit.  The version I downloaded was from Technet, and my key is for the Pro edition.

I'm having the same issue with my daughter's computer, ever since moving from the trial version to the paid version.

It persists whether I have checked "Disable all Windows 8 hot corners..." or each one individually.
