Fences not visible when Windows 8 starts

Right-clicking brings them back

I've been using Fences on Windows 7 for a while. I just loaded Windows 8 x64 RTM on my Dell XPS laptop and configured Fences. When I launch the desktop for the first after booting, all my desktop icons are gone. If I right-click the desktop they suddenly "fall" into place...like they slid in from another monitor. I noticed this behavior trying Fences with the CTP previously as well.

Is there a way to affect this behavior so that my Fences show on startup? Do you have a Windows 8 compatible version coming soon?

, until Windows 8 is released to the public, there is no official support for it except for Start8.

This is due to a change in the OS.  Unfortunately Microsoft chose to break backwards compability in one area and thats why Fences and Deskscapes both do not start until the desktop has been interacted with.

My understanding is Fences 2 works around this but Fences 1 will remain as-is.
