[.952 bug] No character graphics at character selection screen, or beasties when they jibber jabber at your person.

This isn't actually particular to .952...it has been a problem throughout the beta.  The graphics for the character never appear in the character selection screen.  Also, when monsters jibber jabber things at the player, their graphics don't appear.  There's just the eternal inky black void.  It looks like this:

 

I'm assuming my DJ Yella is supposed to be appearing in all his ghetto majesty.  This might be because I'm playing on a crappy laptop, but perhaps it's a bug.

I began getting this starting with the past 2 updates (even the in-game character screens are blank) on one of my computers, so I downloaded the game on my other system that has a dedicated graphics card;  not just an on-board chipset and everything works there.  Not a game breaking problem but it did dampen my enjoyment of the game until I started playing on my apparently better computer.

Troubled system specs:

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5800 processor  3.2GHz, 2MB Cache

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Edition

3GB of DDR3 SDRAM system memory

Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD

What's funny is that it's not a gamebreaker at all (I'm amazed at how this game has developed, btw).  However, I'm ridiculous and will probably get a better computer just to fix this issue!

There was some fix that helped for some players by turning off multisampling, don't remember how it was done though :S
