[Beta 4] Death Worship trait not working?

I've tried to make a few custom factions with this trait but it seems to do nothing.

Maybe a stupid question, but is your faction an empire or a kingdom?

You need to use an empire, so you get access to Death Shards and Death Magic. Your Sovereign also needs to have at least Death II to cast Corruption.
