Standalone game?

Was searching for the answer to this, and looked in the FAQ, but could not determine:

Is Fallen Enchantress a standalone game, or must the previous game be purchased to play?

Reason being, I might be interesting in giving the new one a try... if it is standalone.

Yep, it's totally standalone.

It is completely stand alone.  No need to get War of Magic first.   Definitely worth the purchase in my opinion.   In any case, welcome to the community.
