Dual Primaries controlling 1+ Secondary

I know this is a weird question but I have 2 desktop machines (1 work 1 personal) that are on a KVM. I also have 1 laptop I like to use as a secondary sometimes. What i want to do is have each primary be able to connect to it at the same time. So when I switch the KVM its a seemless transition to controlling the laptop.

Maybe it could be added as a feature to 2.0 ;)

If I understand correctly what you want, you can set both primaries to connect to the secondary and achieve what you want.  The KVM is immaterial.

Yes i have two pcs that could be considered primary but due to the kvm the one keyboard controls both.

Multiplicity only allows one primary in its setup, so I don't think this will be able to be implemented, especially because it would probably need to interact with the KVM switch in some way.

Rosco I have an idea that could be implimented as an option that could solve my problem.

If a disconnect happens for any reason (such as another primary connects or just a network issue) dont reconnect until mouse or keyboard input is detected. that way when I switch box i switch to will reconnect and the other will be thrown off but they wont fight over it like they do now.

By the way I got my preorder in for 2.0 and it is nice but the audio features are not working correctly for me. but overall very nice and im glad ctl-alt-backspace seems to finally be working correctly. (Both are windows 7 x64 boxes)

Wow i just installed 2 on the other machine and its allowing exactly what I asked for in the origional post. Both primarys are connected at the same time. This is awesome!!! :D

Both primarys are connected at the same time.
End of z3razerviper's quote

I stand corrected, this was added in v2, and either the developers didn't tell me, or much more likely, I forgot...  v_v

Glad you're happy, though!   Let me know if everything works well for you.

No Problem Rosco just please make sure they dont patch it out ;) As far as audio goes i get skipping audio on the source box so it is never passed to the primary pc. If i disable the audio feed my audio plays correctly on the source.
