Movement Max

 

 

So I was trying to optimize a response group with balancing defenders. I decided to try just the Soveirgn with the first Champ you get and all else as Defenders. For max movement I've cannibalized the special lizard mounts from other recruited heroes as well as a pair of +1 move boots for each. I finished it off with the +1 move spell for a total of +6 for my response team.

Concentrating it to a 2 man team also means more xp for just the 2 of them. One as a tank and one as a mage. So far seems to work real well. Especially since I try to build my cities in lines sprawling out to each other so with only a 6 square distance limitation I'm everywhere in the same turn.

1 hero per group with alot of henchmen gains a ton of xp, unless necessary I usually only run my heroes around solo, picking up all "potential" upgrades the first 4-5 levels. This gives a lategame beast of a hero, especially if you like me are good at soloing stuff in tactical combat ^_^.

One alone? ... they'd get lonely. Also I dont get to use the +10 xp for group and all the other group stuff.   8C

Works on your units too, and on the hero wearing it, all up to you though, thats how I do it :P.

Cant say its better, just know they get twice as many xp :)

OMG just tested it. It seems you get an xp penalty for each additional hero in the group.

 

Do you also get an xp penalty for minions?

The XP penalty only applies to heroes. It is to prevent massive XP by placing all heroes in one army. You get a 50% penalty to XP for the second hero, plus an additional 50% penalty for each hero after that. Trained units get 50% less than heroes in general. So, they get only 25% with two heroes.

Oh so the penalty is severe. So the choice then becomes do you level them seperate or together as you are limited by monsters to kill. Though I guess you could leave the moster spawns uncaptured and keep killing them as they spawn?

 

It seems something triggers the monster spawn guardians to start patrolling rather than stay in place and eventually the spanws do get captured by the random npc scout .
