[.915] Should Vetrar be able to leave his frozen wasteland?
Should this be possible? I was under the impression that the elemental lords were supposed to stay in their wild lands and not, say, wander out to destroy my improvements?

Sometimes this just happens. I kinda love the crazyness, but I know that ppl will ragequit as well.
Happens with all the other major wildlands bosses too, so I think its on purpose, though I am not a fan of it. I would much rather see him send out minions...
even powerfull minion would be more... interesting.. (Avatar of whoever)

There is a double problem with this when they come out and stomp on you. Some times when you do kill the rampaging gods, the trigger for their death is not activated in their controlled lands so you can't send pioneers out to grab the goodies that are sitting in their areas of control.
I get that to CMarvel. In my most recent game I cleared out all the Wildlands and their ZoC never disappeared. Was highly frustrating!
When you clear out wildland, remember to take all the lairs/goodiehuts. That will usually trigger the all clear.
joasoze, I've cleared out all enemies and all goodiehuts in ALL wildlands. They did not clear. It only happened in one game and not in the others where they did clear. It is definitely a bug.
I'm pretty sure getting the goodie huts isn't necessary anyway.
One time I saw Vetrar roaming the country side attacking everything, until he attacks one of those lv9 heroes (forgot which one it was), and lost. Priceless.
I think sometimes the wildland mobs wander aimlessly around the map not fighting anyone and not being killed. Or possibly they are killed by the AI and it doesn't clear the wildland.
I think that being able to spawn minions and send them out to cause mayham is a much better way than having the bossman roam free.
In addition, this is another reason to enter the wildlands in the first place. IF you don't, you'll have to continue to be attacked by whatever it is that the bossman is sending....though this does present an inherant flaw. If you can handle whatever they are tossing at you, you can leave them there and gain a wack of xp which would imbalance the game. A mechanic would have to be included that no xp be given for those roaming wildlanders.....OR that the game is balanced such that the xp gained from them does not do significant impact.
What if the minions could eventually get stronger if they keep get beaten easily so you have to deal with the threat at some point (not linear scaling, something that would give you some time to prepare)?
If he does leave the wilderness in the final version I think he should leave a trail of icy terrain and cast "winters grip" or whatever its called on people's cities.
I started a different thread on my experiences with Delim Skye, and how his horde wandered from one end of my territory to the other before finally attacking a city he had already walked past once. He committed suicide in a sense, because he never appeared in the battle due to too many creatures in his army ( over 9 apparently ). I fought him in a different game in his home territory, but he still didn't make it into the battle. At least I was able to use the mega fire node in the second game, because the zoc vanished after his death ( it never did in the first game). I like the wildlands concept and have just defeated Abeix without issue, but the Delim Skye portion needs some more work as it is currently broken.
I REALLY like this.
Other Bossmen would require similar effects....but I can see this TOTALLY being awesome.
