I tried to mod the game and put the entity manifest file in but it did not contain all of the files.  Also I got a checksum of 0 which means the mod was not going to work.  Am I doing something wrong and where is a manifest file with all of the entity files in it?

What are you trying to do? If you did not add new files changing the entity.manifest isn't needed. The main cause of having a zero checksum is setting up your mod folders incorrectly so the game can't find your modded files. Make sure it goes Mod folder -> Mod -> GameInfo Folder, entity.manifest. Anything else or having the folders/files misspelled will result in it not finding your changes.
