this new version seems to have a lot of sync issues we had 4 players on ICO and it didn't seem to matter the setup we used random maps all single systems of varying sizes and we changed up the races each time. We were playing coop so was 4 of us against 4 AIs.
On the last one we did a 4 on 2 and synch still occured there didn't seem to be a consistent time fram but it usually didn't take long. I'm afraid i didn't time it but it seemd to be between 15 to 30 minutes usually. We weren't consitently checking for desync except for the last match which i was asking about every 5 minutes to verify where ships were.
3 of us were in the same room with one guy in another city.
in total we played 4 matches with 4 human players which desynched. However i had played a 2 on 2 match, with 2 humans 2 ais not even 20 minutes before with the same fellow from out of town and we finsihed the game up in 35 minutes with no problem.
We even rotated victory conditions the only condition remaining identical was the allied victory for all 4 matches with 4 human players.
Wish i could provide you technical details but as soon as we noticed the desync we stoppped playing.
