Serious Bug

Here i provide a link before a battle with Dali, one of the big bosses. Here, however, he is in a stack of 15 units ! During the battle he does not appear at all, only 9 of his units, but at the end of the battle he is dead - which make things kind of easy. Another curiosity, already reported, if he attacks you the loot is lost, but if i attack loot is gained (message about loot appears, but items do not). Next battle with a dragon shows the same pattern regarding loot. You can also see problem with fire-related animations, sometimes attack do not appear at all.

Another bug - you can see that other 'green' territory is without any enemies, but still i cannot build anything there ...

Balance/gameplay

- destroying mines/shards takes a turn, rebuilding sometimes 15 ... Very annoying. One stupid spider coming on the road from like 20 tiles destroy your outpost and you loose mine and shard for next 10+ turns. Possible solutions: destroying takes more than one turn or they just put a building on fire, you cannot use it, but putting off fires would take 2-3 turns. Same with razing cities.

- economy - right now shops are useless, the only equip i can buy and afford are horses. I will not sell 2500 gold worth 15-lvl super-sword to get regular spear ... Best solution, i think, but it will take some work is to have two separated monetary systems for country/troops/buildings/rush and for heroes/loot/. All money i saved for new heroes, then can cost even 1400 gold and it is not that easy to get that money. Loot from monsters, even epic ones, is a joke. 

- spells - shrink is a boss killer, right now costs 3 mana my caster and does more damage than anything else. Should not be permanent but for 2-3 turns or have a cost depending on enemy ...Touch of darkness does not work. Chaos can cast second slow on a monster, not sure if intended.

- load/save - still leads to problems. Movement points are sometimes restored, monsters become awake (if i attack and then re-load), i lost some troops if they were build that very turn, monsters get sometimes extra points etc.

- building cities - boring ... Actually, i liked when you could build the same buildings over and over again b/c you could at least specialize your cities, now cities are all the same. I build mostly buildings that need less then 30 turns of construction. Most of the cities come from conquest and b/c of their occupation penalty are more or less useless/uninteresting since it takes forever to build anything in them, and then bonuses are not that great (game changing) either. I love system in Warlock when you can build just one city per pop, though system is simple it is a joy to have a nice fortune bringing city. 

 

Abuses

- "Arcane monolith" - i can, the very same turn, destroy AI's outpost and cast the spell and all his shards/mines automatically pass to me

By the way, i was cleaning my folder and i have found 58 crushes since January this year ... Posting only ones from .913

 

Forgot: another weird bug, though i lost save.

I have had an epic quest asking me to investigate ruins. I had an army waiting beside the ruins b/c i was waiting for reinforcements. Meanwhile another army was going through a map on a route planned couple turns before, and happened to pass through ruins at the end of my turn. At the beginning of a turn i got a message whether i want to investigate the ruins, i said no, b/c had no clue what's happening. Since then, does not matter which army would attempt to investigate ruins, only the army that run through it initially and accidentally would show up for an actual fight :) I attack with one army, and the other one shows up, i think through magical teleportation ...

Magic is truly strange in this game : )

To clear that enemy area you need to visit all lairs and take all loot for it to register as cleared. This baffled me once until I got the tip.

Big time abuse

- blood curse + paragon - you boost well hp of your sov and then you start to cast paragon non-stop; with good mana income lvl/round for one of your heroes

also if your sov is melee and you sacrifice 3-4 cities you can hit easily over 500 hp ...

 

Errors

- city with a outpost right in its middle, outpost cannot be destroyed

- AI can stack enchantments on its cities ...
