All animation displays a solid black background

Every animation in WindowsFX 5 displays an opaque black background, ruining the effect.  I am running Windows 7 64-bit on an nVidia 560 Ti graphics card. I expect it might be related to DeskScapes, as that program used to conflict with your Fences product.

If I remember correctly, this is a known issue that should be fixed in the next build.

It sounds like you have enabled the nvidia FXAA option in the drivers.  The drivers warn you about this and the feature is buggy and breaks things.

If you disable forced FXAA and reboot you should be fine.

Thank you, Neil.  Disabling FXAA fixed it.  Unfortunately, WindowsFX causes too much lag in other programs.  It dropped Skyrim from playable, to < 20fps.  Frankly, that makes no sense since the desktop isn't active with a game is full-screen.  But regardless, uninstalling it, fixed Skyrim, so it stays off.
