OT: WinXP problem

I'm hopeing someone here can help me with a "small" prob I got! I just installed WinXP Pro the other day and all was fine but now I can't access the "User Accounts" from the Control Panel anymore! I do have Admin rights so that's not the problem!
I'm haveing no other problems accessing anything else in the Control Panel.
I really hope someone can help me solveing this tricky problem!!

Thanks in advance!

I take it that the "User Accounts" applet icon appears in your control panel, but when you click on it nothing happens. If so - have you tried logging off and then relog in on the Administrator account and do you get access then.

leqin: Yes nothing happens when I click the icon. The same goes when I click the "logo" at the top of the Start menu.
Yes I have tried loggin in on the Administrator account but with the same result!

have you tried to repair your installation?

supposed to be nice and fast, and hopefully will help.

Okay well your best bet is to go to the top

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/default.asp

thats the page for all the Microsoft Newsgroups for XP. I think you need to visit either the Security and Administration, or the Setup and Deployment group. You should find plenty of people in there - lots of MVPs who should be able to sort this out pretty quick for you.

Problem solved! The reason for my worries was that it appeared that I had a massive virus attack!!!! My system some how got infected by the PE_Weird and W95/Kuang.GR vira!
How this happend I do not know, I have recieved no "funny" mails lately but my firewall was kinda messed up so it might have "sneaked" in the back door in one way or another. But anyways, I got a nice and clean system now and access to all applications!!

/me kicks crae's butt.
I told you I would... but yeah I had to reinstall.. About 95% of all .exe files on the boot drive was infected
But now all is "fine", got a clean and healthy system once again and a virus detecter/clean running in background!!
