You cannot.

Don't even try.

Abandon all hope: Resistance is futile.

All your base are belong to us.

ps... is that DX or DX Pro? Which version? In my simple DX, I don't see it.... but if you right click on it, in it's properties you might find the option you want?

It looks like you are in builder mode.  Why?  :)

Boxxi,

No idea on that, HOWEVER... Is that a new theme you are working on? I must say, I LIKE IT!

Reminds me of the good ol days and I love the originality of it. Look forward to its release ( if that is intended ).

I always run in builder mode, it's needed to configure things. Client Mode is for noobs. ;)

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX and find DesktopX Helper.exe and rename it to Desktopx Helper.exe.bak

Agreed.

Boxxi, I just delete it. But you could add the .bak to the end of it. It won't run anymore.

OOPS! Sorry Wiz, I missed your post!! Thank you, I have zapped it now and cleared the cache again just to be sure. Thanks everyone!! :)

It's all good, BoXXi. :sun:

BTW, This rename works for most of those pesky auto-updaters that have no easy way to disable them. Just find the updater exe, and you know the rest. ;)

I didn't rename it, I blasted the sucker into the ether!!!! Muwahahah........ :banhammer: :cylon:

Did y'all ever try the Toggle Object Palette in the DXBuilder r-click menu? That always works for me.

Careful now... i'd sure hate to see you wearing one of those as earmuffs in a picture.

( although THAT would be less disturbing than that "just rolled out of bed" pic you posted. I haven't been able to sleep through the night without screaming and crying since I saw it... )

Yeah, but once you open it, it opens automatically from then on. Every time you load DX.

Just tried it. Toggle = open. Toggle again = close for good.

Hmmm...you cheat!

lol...I wonder why I get what Boxxi gets. It always runs with DX once I open it.  Do you close it with it's X, or do you toggle it at the system tray?

I never use the X. That's what keeps it coming back. I use the toggle.

Hmmmm never noticed that before Eve...lol. Oh well, i've got rid of it now........ :)
