Crashing when trying to use new Galaxy Forge maps

I made a new map with the new Galaxy forge that came out with the new beta (a HUGE improvement over the original Galaxy Forge btw. Thank you!) but whenever I switch the tab in the game to get to the screen showing my Galaxy forge maps the game crashes.  I took the new map I made out the Galaxy forge folder just to see if that was the problem, and lo and behold, it was.  Dont know if there is any minidump file I can attach but here's the exact error screen I got:

Anyone have any similar problems with the new galaxy forge, or is this something related to my system?

Also, do the developers want feedback on Galaxy Forge issues right now, or are you more concerned with gameplay and bug fixes at the moment?

UPDATE:

Cant seem to even open the file in the Rebellion's Galaxy Forge program now, so maybe it has nothing to do with the beta and more to do with some kind of corruption of the original file. Brb, making a new map to see if it has the same problem. x_x Uggg, that was such a good map I made before, lol. Dont want have to do it ALL over again...

I've had the same issues, there are some work arounds. From what I can tell, when you save a your maps, sometimes one can get... corrupt, for lack of a better word. This is what causes the game to crash. Remove that corrupt map and the game works again. Something weird is going on with how GalaxyForge saves over existing maps. I think you're limited to trial/error for removing the correct, corrupted map.

EDIT: The map to remove twice for me was the first saved version of a map, but I'm not convinced that isn't coincidence. Good place to start, though.

Some other notes...

  • As mentioned, seems to make NEW saved maps while trying to overwrite an old one.
  • Something is going on with the map players. Sometimes it'll say the map is a one player despite having two players/home worlds clearly defined. This might be related to the previous concern.
  • The new Galaxy Forge seems to have stability issues. I've alt-tabbed out to play something on Youtube, alt-tabbed back in, and had it explode on me. Should of wrote down the error I got, but I thinks slow.
  • Doesn't seem backwards compatible with old Galaxy Forge maps. Thankfully, Rebellion is.
  • Haven't messed with the asteroid button any, as thankfully all asteroids are still randomly generated, but really curious if I could make a home world with like... 10 crystal asteroids, as you can zoom in on individual planets to set them up. Going to have to try that out later. Really curious on the zoom feature.
  • Similarly, curious what all people can get out of the TriggerEditor. This is version of Forge seems way more cool.

I think I'm gonna go try and make a whole new map all at once and only save it only once. Maybe that will work. I haven't had any stability issues with the Forge itself per say, but I only started tinkering with it yesterday. As for the TriggerEditor, all I can say is: "YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS" Perhaps this will allow some of the modders to create some actual campaigns with set objectives and such. But as far as I can tell, the triggereditor with this forge isn't fully operational yet, as it doesn't allow for any actions or conditions to be defined yet. Perhaps when Rebellion is finally released there will be a workable trigger editor.

Single player Campaign? YES PLEASE!

I don't know what it is, but deleting the autosave files the GalaxyForge generates when you save it in your GalaxyForge folder solved the issue for me.

Edit: Figured it out
