New Galaxy Forge!

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but there was a new galaxy forge packed up in Rebellion beta 2

Its pretty cool and has been redesigned. That being said, I can't quite figure out where to save my new created maps to be playable in the beta, as my old location is invalid.

Any help would be appreciated

Mods, maps, saves and everything else in that hidden folder has been moved in a new easier to find location. You should find it in a folder called "My games" in your "My documents" folder.

Oh sexy...I wonder if they will add more diversity to random maps as well now by making player created random maps via Galaxy Forge...

It is in the directory where the Rebellion.exe/game files are (in the steamapp folder somewhere).

If you have Vista/7.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion\Galaxy Forge

Also the folder for Galaxy forge maps isn't there in documents?

You may have to go try to navigate to your Galaxy Forge map tab in game before it creates the folder.

Hey guys, I can't seem to get the GalaxyForge maps to work in Map Designer. Every time i start my custom maps, I get defeat automatically and I am really confused now. I saved my custom maps in C:\Users\(name)\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\MapDesigner is there another way to get my custom maps to work like a new map start?

First of all, galaxy forge maps should only go in the Galaxy Forge folder, located in the same directory as that map designer folder you were putting them into. The map designer is basically a GUI for random maps, the Galaxy forge is a GUI for premade maps, you don't use them together.

Second, the most common cause of instant victories or defeats is not giving every player a starting planet. For every player make sure you actually selected a planet and change the owner/homeworld (if applicable) drop down boxes.
