Multiplayer Dilema

I like to play multiplayer games with friends. Usually this involves us playing together against a varying size and difficulty of AI opponents. Typically we play using different factions or races but this seems to be very difficult in Rebellion.

One of the best techs early on for the TEC rebels is the "Truce among Rogues" tech. The problem is if I research this tech, all of the neutral vessels remain in my wells.

What inevitably happens is that at some point my ally starts losing diplomatic vessels he places in the well that are needed to improve relations because diplomatic immunity wears off.

In other wells my ally needs to move through said wells either to get to the front line to attack, or help defend the well. As soon as this happens the 'neutral' vessels attack my ally.

This needs to be resolved.

Some ideas are:

Allied opponents get same benefits in allied wells OR

Ability to disband/scuttle the neutrals in own wells OR

Ability to later attack the neutrals in own wells to clean them out OR

some other brilliant solution

 

This issue needs to be resolved otherwise multiplayer games with someone from TEC rebels is tricky unless banning TAR which sort of defeats the purpose of the tech...

This is truly an issue when playing with buddies. And i'm not really quite sure myself on how the dev's can resolve this in a logical manner. Perhaps neutrals can be made to ignore diplomatic vessels. I don't foresee the neutrals being a military pain to an ally, after all, they are free cap ship experience for them, a massive gift for any ally.

It can be as simple as disabling it in grav wells that are colonized.
