Sins Of Solar Empire lag spikes

Hi people. As title say, my problem are lagg spikes that occure durring gameplay. It is not low frame rate or anything but random lag every 1 second. I was searching on the net and i have found similiar problems but none of the solutions i found worked. 

Worst of all is that most people can run this game on medium settings with old ass 1 core computer and 1gb ram.

I tryed changing graphic settings disabling some settings but nothing worked. Performance didnt change even by frame. No matter what settings i have, low or high. Please could you help me with this. It is pain in the ass. It is playable but annoying. 

My specs are: Nvidia geforce GT 240M (up to date)

4gb ram

Inel core duo 2.24 and 2.25 ghz.
