[.86][Suggestion]Better options for optimizing game performance on low end computers

My desktop runs the game just fine, but when it is being used I have to play this on my wife's laptop (mine is too slow!)  It would be nice if we could turn off all the animation that goes on.  In the options menu, there are all sorts of options to turn off stuff, but then one option to turn ON shadows.  They should all be worded the same so they all either turn off stuff, or turn on stuff to make it less confusing.

A radical possibility is to play on the cloth map only.

That option is under gameplay, not video.

Yeah, I don't really like playing on the cloth map.  I was just thinking if you could turn off the animation like in CIV it would help.
