Having a problem with all themes in WindowBlinds

The top bar of windows isn't changing with the theme... Just look

Hi guys, I recently downloaded Windowblinds and it's really cool. However, I have one small issue with the program - with any theme I use, the top part of my windows stays the same. I can change my taskbar, the start menu, etc, but not the top of windows. Here's a picture that shows me using a windows 7 theme (I have windows xp by the way). In it you can see the my window color is the default - it doesn't change with the theme and won't support transparency either. I really want to fix this - anyone have any idea how? Thanks :)

Here's the picture:

You may have a borked install. Unload WindowBlinds and uninstall it. Run CCleaner - www.piriform.com - that will take out any left over files, especially in the registry, then reboot. Reinstall WindowBlinds and reboot again. Then apply the theme. If it doesn't work go to the top of the configuration window and click on about WindowBlinds. Copy that to the clipboard and if you have an account with Photobucket -  http://photobucket.com/ or  Imageshack -  http://www.imageshack.us/?no_multi=1 they're both free, upload the image and click on the direct link then paste it here so we can have a looksee.

Upon trying to uninstall I get this error:

Could not open INSTALL.LOG file. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by unload. :\

Seaborgium:

Please post your system info. (OS, RAM, Graphics card and when graphics drivers last updated, etc.).

Sorry you uninstalled. Your installation might not have been at fault. Browsers (firefox, etc. sometimes don't take to skinning well). Also, do you or did you have any other customization software on your computer?

At any rate, I take it you had the trial version of Windowblinds? Where did you download it from?

OS: Windows XP Professional

RAM: 3.5 GB

Graphics Card: Unknown, I know it's a nvidia geforce

Last time I updated graphics drivers: The most recent update was around march of 2011 I believe.

I didn't uninstall actually. Upon attempt I couldn't. My laptop (this computer) broke a few months ago and when I got it fixed the computer guys said they added some themes as well. I wasn't sure what program they used but now my os is labeled as "Windows XP Deluxe Edition by Mursid Baran."

Yes, I had the trial version - downloaded from cnet.

This is some modified copy of Windows XP, an unofficial version. I would suggest you take it back and request a legitimate copy be installed.

Maybe I'm missing something here. If you are using a Windows 7 theme only I don't think it's going to change that because you said you were using win xp. A win7 theme will use the standard xp colors. So anyone since I can't test my skins on XP please advise me if i'm incorrect here.

FWIW.....There is no XP Deluxe Edition.

Yes, I know - it's obviously a modded version. I honestly don't care enough to get it all working - thanks for the support anyway guys :P

The problem lies with modified system files. No doubtedly they've applied some transformation packs upon installation hence why you don't get the "aero" look and such. What graphics card do you have by the way ?

Exactly. As I suspected.

I searched this theme and it appears on bttorrenz, etc.

You should remove that type of software which I suspect msstyles or a variant which will conflict with windowblinds and which altered your system files.

Also, you should scan your system for malware.

Perform an sfc /scannow by going to the cmd prompt and "run as administrator" to restore your system files.

Here's a good "how to".

The "plus" of Windowblinds is that it does not and will not alter MS system files (Stardock is a MS Gold Certified Partner).
