HAVE YOU TRIED,TOOLS IN INTERNET EXPLORER THEN DELETE TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES.AND HAVE YOU INCREASED YOUR INTERNET CACHE SIZE,AND DECREASED THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU HOLD ONTO TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES.
IT MAY HELP,I'M NOT POSITIVE,BUT,IT WON'T HURT.GOOD LUCK

Did you install Windows SP2?
When I got SP2 I had problems just like yours. It messed up my system and had to get rid of SP2 before I could get my PC back to normal.
Hope this helps.

I think it's just better to wait a while until they work more of the bugs out before I reinstall Windows XP SP2.

Does this happen with all the pages on the internet or just here on WC?

If you installed SP2 you might have to turn off the Windows-firewall that comes with this upgrade. It is known to cause trouble with certain firewalls like Norton or McAffee.

Go to the Control panel, click on the Security center and turn off the Windows firewall. Make sure that your McAffee firewall is running though!

SP2 would only allow me to save. A friend of mine told me he can't download unless he saves it since his installation of SP2 and he's trying to find a way around it.
If he finds a way I'll post it here to see if it helps you.

If it's your firewall... then I have no clue.

If emptying your internet-cache and deleting your cookies didn't help you might want to check the security level of your Firewall. It is possible that it is set to high and the firewall filters out too much, you might have to decrease the level of security a little.
