[Performance] Slag model has too many polygons

The slag model seems to have too many polygons, at least for my poor graphics card (GForce 7600 GT). Whenever one of them comes into view, the game slows down significantly. With a bunch of such units in a fight, it becomes unplayable.

Are you suggesting that the monsters graphics should be wimped out so that people with 6 year old video cards don't experience a frame rate slow down?

Wouldn't it make more sense for you to just get a better video card?

Since the game becomes a diashow when there is a bunch of them on the screen, I can imagine that people with not as old rigs might still run into performance problems with them.

And as I don't have the same problem with most of the other models, it seems to me that there must still be some optimization potential there.

A model detail configuration in the settings would be an alternative.
