Epic monsters - any luck?

With heroes not gaining any more high lvls any of you have any luck with epic monsters?

I am just going to attempt one, but i am afraid it will fall short ....

[edit] Disregard what I said here. For some reason I thought that Mana shield and Mana Blast were Life spells.

Large mana pool and mid-high level spell books solve all monster problems. Life magic in particular...

Champs have to specialize more. Make sure at least one is doing their spell school homework.
