Quoting Disturbedcomputer, reply 22if anyone that has WIN 7 64bit please see if it does this on yours .

Yep, that happens to me too.

Edit: The "enable Window shake" function is always functionable, even if disabled.
End of Asound's quote

Window Shake is an OS level feature on Windows 7 when the DWM is on.  The setting in WindowFX controls the implementation of this feature when the theme is Windows Classic or you are on Windows Vista / XP but not the OS support.

The magnifier does seem to be causing some issues so we will look into what is going on there.  It is fine when docked at the size, but not when it zooms the full screen.

I do have a problem with the window flip on my notebook: http://www.imagebanana.com/view/9zu7741e/notebook.jpg

Okay, it depends on the windowsblinds skin I have active. With Subsecret for example, this problem is also fully present on my computer, which is currently in use on my notebook. The skin I had active on my computer first (Nocturne), made no problems. So I thought that this is just a problem of my notebook, which isn't.

Edit: I see now that a window is not semi transparent while moving anymore due to wobbly windows.

About windowflip: The Icon that is displayed there, is always the default icon, which is normaly in use, if the file or exe does not have a specific icon. No matter if the application I have flipped is actually having a specific icon.

Edit²: Sometimes it happens that the "terminate app" button is not there. If I just open the win explorer, it is not present, until I flip it a second time.

See here, there you an also see the default icon of my icon packager theme, even though the explorer.exe does have an own icon: http://www.imagebanana.com/view/0urzo9qf/flip.jpg[/quote]

End of Asound's quote

What graphics card do you have?

The flipped windows should be blurred as well as greyscale, but the screenshot from your notebook seems to be missing the blur.

My notebook uses a Gefoce 9600gs.  But it depends on the current active wb-skin I guess. At least it does happen on my computer too and looks exactly the same as it is on my notebook, when the same wb skin is active. In my computer I use a gtx 260. On both systems is Win 7 Prof 64 bit in use.

This is the pic from my notebook: http://www.imagebanana.com/view/9zu7741e/notebook.jpg

And here from my computer, the same wb skin is active (Subsecret): http://www.imagebanana.com/view/cuyix7be/flippc.jpg

How a flipped window will look like, strongly depends on the active Windowblinds skin. On some skins only the edges are not perfect, on some the titlebar is still fully visible and on some it es even totally messed up.

Edit: An example of a fully visible titlebar: http://www.imagebanana.com/view/d4ts3ihz/fliptitle.jpg

The skin "tinted" is in use there.

Can the window flip be assigned/assignable to a different option? I dont have a middle button.  :pout:

Other than that, this version is freakin' amazing! love the new animations.

Right click the maximize button.

Maximize button didn't work, so I tried the minimize, and it does give the window flip.

Now the new version is perfect for me.

thanks for all the hard work. well worth the wait for this.

I just found out that the flipped windows, which where normally totally messed up due to the active wb skin, arent when the window is maximized.

As stated by another user, I want WOBBLY windows ... not these wibbly things in there now ;)

Ya, a setting as suggested for the amount of wobbliness would be a great addition (I'm sure it's planned ?).

Everything else is working great!  Running with Deskscapes 3 on a 560ti... FYI

 Windows7/64 Ultimate.

GeForce 8800GT.  285.62 @1680x1050.

Everything is very fluid and smooth, no matter what else I have running. The software is amazing and the effects are awesome!5* 5*   With DeskScapes running, my entire desktop is alive.

The best thing is the animations are scripts so if you don't like something about an animation you can tweak it a bit. We even updated the script documentation for beta 1.
End of Neil's quote

Are there any plans to allow uploads of new/modified anaimations to WC by end users?

(Not that anyone here would want to mod or customize anything.) ;)

We already have a gallery for WindowFX : https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowfx

To use any of the animations you would need to extract them to the scripts folder which is C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowFX4\Scripts on a 64 bit Win7 install.  WindowFX5 supports most of the WindowFX2/3 animations.

Would one be better served to stay with WFX 4 on Vista?

There are a couple of small tweaks so if you get it for free then installing it is good simply because it is the latest, but if you had to pay an upgrade fee I would suggest it is probably not worth it.

Thanks Neil. So, I can install on Vista, and just don't use those parts that don't work?

The parts that do not work will not appear.

I can't wait to see the animations people come up with using the scripting instructions too!

Just where are those scripting instructions? I didn't get no box.  >_>

Are WB exclusions inherited by WFX5?  The only app I have excluded from WB is Chrome & the animations (open, close, min, restore) & wobble/friction don't work on it.  The window effects (trans, darken) do get applied.

Win7Pro 64b, Intel HD3000 graphics (8.15.10.2345), 1600 x 900.

Also noticed that after you select a friction level (opening the friction slider darkens/transes the UI in the background) and click off somewhere, the WFX5 UI remains dark & transparent (as if it no longer has focus) until you close or minimize it; clicking in the window or on the title bar fails to 'bring it back' to opaque.

This is not a bug, but an observation.  The 'menus' in Office 2010 are windows and behave/animate as such, which is a little disconcerting.  I think I'll get used it, though. :)

YOu can find it at C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowFX5\WindowFX_Scripting.doc

or if you want a PDF, you can get it at http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/WindowFX_Scripting.pdf

I remember in an earlier version of FX that you were able to modify the windows shadows. How come this isn't possible anymore ? :p I mean i know you can do this with Windowblinds but it would be nice to have a little more user customization in that aspect.

I like WindowsFX ability to make background windows either dim or transparent EXCEPT it also affects my Desktop image, at least when I'm running Deskscapes.  Can you make an option to NOT affect the desktop background?
