Was this yesterday evening (Feb 4th late afternoon Michigan time)?  I was having problems connecting to the forums at that time and saw some posts later that there were problems with the Stardock servers.  Have you tried again today?

I had problems as well last night with the authentications. Today, none of my saves will work, including brand new games. I can play maybe 2-3 turns on a new game and then crashes, rinse and repeat. Completely unplayable at the moment. Sent emails to support@stardock.com.

I'm seeing this problem as well after a series of crashes. 

Uninstall and re-install did not help.

I've had this quite a bit, usually after crashes as well.  Sometimes it takes several attempts at running the game before I can re-launch it.  One time I actually had to alt + tab to bring up the login prompt and re-enter my username & password before it would finally work.

Had the same issue and I tried uninstalling (to latter reinstall) and got a "fatal systems error" message in in the process. Even restoring didn't help. Now I'm stuck in a recursive loop where I can't even uninstall the game and it won't run.  I think I'm out until they get this thing fixed.
