Sins of a Solar Empire Won't register behind a proxy

(Get NET001 Error)

When I launch SINS, I get the "Stardock Account Registration" window, and filling it out returns with the response:

 

NET001 - … cannot connect to the server … (something like that)

 

Probably because I'm behind a proxy server.  I tried the SDDLCProxy file listed on this forum for "Tiles", but it didn't seem to work with SINS.  Not too surprising since there wasn't an SDDLC.DLL file in my Sins folder.

Anyway, is there a way to set the proxy used by the Sins registration code?
