[Tiles] disable mini thumbail (size issue)?

Greetings!

Been using the full version tiles for a while now.
it's almost like a windows xp docked toolbar!, with pages!!


here is one that that i hope theres' a solution to..

wanting to conserve space.. 

i disabled the thumbnail of an active tile
so i unchecked "Active tiles should show a mini thumbail of the window "
but now it shows a very big thumbnail of the icon



so i unchecked - Icons should be shown on active tiles
and it gets me an empty highlighted space..

well the option does what it does.. but i feel theres a waste of space here..




is there any way i can get something like the image below? where the space is being utilized better?

if there is an option i have missed, i would like to know.
if not.. maybe a suggestion then..
